Security Notice

Last Friday evening, January 11th, around 8:00 p.m., an unidentified man
entered the building through the front door. He was not admitted via the
Enterphone system, he followed a legitimate delivery person.

Our security cameras in the vestibule and lobby captured him clearly.
He was Caucasian, middle-aged, tall (over 6 ft.) with very closely
cropped hair and metal glasses. We know that he called at several suites
purporting to represent either the Star or the Sun newspapers although he
carried no clip board or other business paraphernalia. He was seen by
two ladies who were walking the corridors and was unable to give a
proper account of himself.

Unfortunately no one who encountered him thought to telephone the
Superintendent while he was still in the building as should have been
done.

The man was in the building for about 20 minutes. No damage was
done or suites entered that we know of. If any resident can add to this
account they are requested to get in touch with the building
management.

Thank you,

Management

Manorman would like to add...

What nerve! Blame the residents for not "thinking" and telephoning a particular individual who resides in our superintendent's unit. Are we to assume then that a particular individual who resides in our superintendent's unit, is our "avoiding defamatory reference?" This occurred last Friday, January 15, 2008 and "management" is informing us some 4 days later? In a single posting? This is yet another fine example which clearly demonstrates the incompetency we have here.

Another thing. How come there isn't at least one picture from the security cameras included in this "notice" so that we could determine whether anyone here can identify this individual? With the track record we are familiar with, do you trust this as accurate information? Best to check with Peel Police and ask them.

Owners beware, most threats to this property and it's people stem from a lack of dedicated leadership and that is putting us all at risk. Additional proof of this sad fact will be appearing here in the days to come.

Wednesday morning note: Just checked with Peel Police at the Clarkson station. I was informed that it "doesn't appear anything was reported" regarding this incident.

SECURITY UPDATE

We learned yesterday that the unidentified man canvassing in the
building on the evening of January 11th was a legitimate representative
of the Toronto Sun newspaper. The Sun has been advised that
canvassing is not permitted in this building and requested to so advise all
of their representatives.

As we do not have a concierge to keep them out, residents are requested
to report any canvassers to the Superintendent.

Thank you,

Management

Manorman would like to add...

Right! Well, if that's the case, we DEFINITELY do not have a avoiding defamatory reference either.

Keep this in mind folks, these notices are signed "Management".
